The Nantong Airport provides flights to Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan and Shenzhen. There is 25 kilometers distance from airport to city/hotels, half-hour by car.
The construction of the Sutong Highway Bridge spanning the Yangtze River officially began in Oct. 2002, while the construction of the Chongqi and Chonghai bridges linking Nantong's Qidong and Haimen with Shanghai's Chongming Island will get started this year, making Nantong part of Shanghai's so-called One-hour Economic Circle in the real sense.
